Ecogen, the Baxi mCHP solution has been named "The Most Environmentally Friendly Product" by Construire Impianti, a prestigious Italian magazine focused on household and industrial applications of HVAC&R, in the magazine's annual awards which recognise new product innovation in the industry.
Baxi believes that cogeneration represents a good opportunity for substantial benefits in terms of energy efficiency and the reduction
of carbon emissions.
The Italian market has a great potential for this new technology with about 30 million residential dwellings in the country and about 15 million autonomous heating appliances already installed. According to some recent studies, a significant number of these
exisiting boilers could be replaced with Micro-CHP in the coming years, if some regulatory barriers are removed.
