Government home energy measures are not maximising carbon savings potential - says Baxi

In the wake of the Stern report, Baxi Group has written to the Secretary of State for the Environment with the findings of a new review which concludes that an extra 1.1 Mt/C (million tonnes carbon emissions) savings per year could be achieved from the UK's 19 million domestic heating systems by 2010 with a more effective home energy strategy.

Baxi Duo-tec rated Britains Best Buy combi boiler by Which?

UK boiler manufacturer Baxi is celebrating its success after one of its combination boilers was voted Best Buy by leading consumer magazine Which?  The Baxi Duo-tec Combi 28 HE achieved 5-star ratings for efficiency, low NOx emissions (Nitrogen Oxide), features and installing. Which? described it as a great choice for flats and smaller houses.

Potterton boiler is a Which? Best Buy for second year running

For the second year running, a combination boiler from UK manufacturer Potterton has been rated one of Which? magazine's Best Buys.   The independent consumer magazine says in its boiler report that the Potterton Gold Combi 24 HE is a Best Buy because it 'provides the best combination of high efficiency, low NOx emissions, convenient features and ease of use'.

MHS Homes praises Dachs mini-chp

Two Dachs mini-CHP (combined heat and power) units, supplied by Baxi-SenerTec UK, were installed at a sheltered housing scheme in Kent in 2002. The units were selected by MHS homes becoming the first housing association in the UK to utilise combined heat and power technology. The Dachs units were installed as part of an upgrade to reduce the costs of providing heating, hot water and electricity to 21 apartments.

Baxi Group joins new Microgen consortium

The UK should see the introduction of new 'green' micro combined-heat-and-power (CHP) boilers by 2008 from the Baxi Group - following the launch of a new Free Piston Stirling Engine (FPSE) venture - with Microgen Engine Corporation, involving Baxi and a number of other heating technology companies.

Baxi unveils micro-CHP - heating homes for the future

UK boiler manufacturer Baxi has unveiled a radical new product that will revolutionise domestic heating.  Micro-CHP is essentially a gas boiler, similar in size to a normal wall hung boiler, which generates electricity for use in the home while providing heating and hot water.
